MARTEN YACHTS AT BOOT DUSSELDORF 2007
January 2007
In late 2005, Australian-based Azzura Marine acquired the Marten range of high-performance and blue water cruising yachts from a New Zealand-based company. Azzura Marine has undertaken with the support of Steve Marten to continue the vision of Marten Yachts.
Recognised for constructing yachts of great distinction, the name Marten Yachts has become synonymous with fine craftsmanship and exceptional service. Designed and built to impress even the most discerning yacht owner, the Marten Yachts range has set the new standard for the cruiser / racer pedigree.
Azzura Marine’s, Marten Yachts unveiled its first Marten 49 (hull number four) from its facilities in Australia in August 2006. This Marten 49 has since been delivered to its very proud French owner based in Cannes. In addition to the launch of Azzura Marine’s first Marten 49, another 49 (hull number five) was launched in October 2006 bound for New Zealand, while hull numbers six and seven are due for delivery early 2007. Delivery of these boats will be to the UK and Australia.
By combining the talents of designers Reichel/Pugh, SP Technologies design engineers and the experience of Marten Yachts, a yacht of outstanding pedigree has been created, possessing race bred performance qualities with a spacious, functional layout. The Marten 49 reflects the true definition of a cruiser/racer.
With the demand growing for the Marten 49 both nationally and internationally, focus is now shifting towards maintaining strong sales of this model while introducing the full range of Marten Yachts to the Market.
Striking the right balance between performance and comfort in the highly competitive market. The Marten Yachts range of yachts includes the Marten 49, Marten 67, Marten 72 and Marten 85. With each model, an extensive list of available options provides each owner the ability to customise their Marten towards their lifestyle.
